Mount Kenya trekking
We will climb Mount Kenya during 4 days and 3 nights, the second highest mountain in Africa after Mount Kilimanjaro in neighboring Tanzania, demanding, but rewarding, this route will give us unforgettable moments and panoramic views.

We recommend waterproof hiking boots and clothing, flashlight, good sunglasses and sunscreen.
Day 1. Drive to M.Kenya and start walking
Our guide will pick you up Around 7:00 a.m. at your hotel to transfer you from Nairobi to the Sirimon entrance gate of the Mount Kenya N.P. (2600 m) where the porters and the cook will be waiting to begin the climb.
We will go by local transport (matatu) with our guide from Nairobi to Sirimon Gate, it is 225 km and the journey takes between 4-5 hours. Once at the gate of the park, the walk of approximately 10 km begins that will take us 3-4 hours and a difference of 740m. We will sleep at Old Moses Hut (3340m).
Day 2: ascent through the Sirimon route
After breakfast we will start the second day of trekking from Old Moses Hut (3340m) to Shipton’s Camp (4236m). This stage is already more difficult, it is approximately 7 or 8 hours of walking with a drop of about 900 meters.
When we reach our second base camp, if it is a clear day, we will see the impressive views of the central massif. We recommend that you go to rest early because the next day is a good morning and peak day.
Day 3: summit day (Point Lenana, 4985 m)
We will get up at dawn, around 2:00 am to reach the summit of Point Lenana (4985m) and watch the sunrise from there. A magical moment.
There is a difference of 749m to the top and once we have reached it, and after taking some pictures, we will descend along the Naro Moru route to Mackinder’s Camp (4200m), where we will spend the night.
Day 4: descent through the Naro Moru route and return to Nairobi
Last day of hiking, lasting between 6 and 7 hours, in which we will descend from Mackinder’s Camp (4200m) to the town of Naro Moru, at 1982m. Here we will catch a matatu to return to Nairobi in the afternoon. We will spend the night in a hotel in Nairobi.
